After fifteen years as a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Architect and Project Manager in the financial services industry, and four years as a Product Manager at a major software vendor, Bill O'Kane had the opportunity in 2001 to spend three years at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company overseeing the data architecture for a ground-breaking enterprise implementation of DWL’s Customer product (subsequently known as IBM’s Websphere Customer Center (WCC), and more recently as IBM’s Infosphere MDM Server). After completing the initial implementation, Mr. O'Kane went on to manage a CDI project for Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management. He is currently the Architect and Project Manager in Merrill Lynch Enterprise Information Management (EIM) for the MDM implementation described in this presentation, as well as functioning as an advocate and internal consultant for MDM in the enterprise as a whole. Mr. O'Kane received his BS in Mathematics from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, with minors in Computer Science, Operations Research, and Economics.
